Post-Mortem Review

An independent on-site review of a failed, stalled, or completed China-related strategy, investment, or operating initiative, with findings delivered in a structured diagnostic report.

Diagnosis, not validation.

Some China-related business decisions only become clear after the money has been spent and the results have failed to appear.

A Post-Mortem Review runs backward from the outcome to the original case, identifying where evidence first diverged from the decision and what was missed or ignored at that point.

When To Use It

A China-related strategy, investment, or operating initiative has failed, stalled, or produced disappointing results

Management needs an independent view of what went wrong

A business, partner, team, or structure failed to perform as expected

The priority is to understand the decision, not defend it

What You Get

A structured PDF report with an executive conclusion, the key findings behind it, the cost of not acting, a recommended action, and a categorical decision.

The review includes a site visit, management interviews, and document review. Final report within 10 working days of completing the site visit. A 30–60 minute debrief call is included.

What It Is Not

This is not blame allocation, retrospective justification, or advisory theater. It is a fixed-scope on-site review of a China-related initiative after the fact.
